Founded in 1956, the CSSGA is a member-driven organization that works with state and local governments, regulatory agencies, and the Colorado community to continue improving and growing the aggregate mining industry. CSSGA also educates the aggregate community about environmentally friendly products and practices. Over 7,000 people are employed in this industry alone in Colorado.
So who are these guys? They include cement and ready-mix companies, landscape companies, asphalt companies, companies that provide roadway and railroad base materials, professional environment consulting companies, and many others. These are companies with real jobs in Colorado and in Colorado Springs.
These are hardworking companies employing people living in our district. In fact, there are several companies located right here in House District 17 that are members of the CSSGA. They employ truck drivers, accountants, project managers, engineers and more. I count it as an expression of confidence and trust in our campaign. Most importantly, these companies know that I will represent them in the State Legislature.
